Vernon Heritage presents Washington County's 200th Bicentennial Celebration Festival April 4-5, 2025 honoring Shady Grove Elementary School. April 4, 2025, Friday, festivities from 5pm-8pm at the original Shady Grove Elementary School site and April 5, 2025, Saturday, parade 10am in downtown Vernon, FL.

Fun for all festivities include drawings, games, prizes, sweet treats, music, and food trucks. The site of Shady Grove Elementary School is located at 3187 Shady Grove Road, Vernon, Florida 32462.
